Wreck-It Ralph and the product placements.
Nov. 3rd, 2012 02:31 amI saw a late night showing of Wreck-It Ralph.
it's definitely a movie for the video gamers. Plenty of references, cameos, and tributes to video gaming. I did enjoy the story of Wreck-It Ralph trying to be more than just some bad guy. I pretty much describe it as Who Framed Roger Rabbit with video game characters with a mix of Toy Story.
Some of the little references I saw. (Some I give right out, some I'll hint at it)
( References, some with vague giveaways on them. )
Plenty of it that I did hear that the creators are planning to put a trivia track in the Blu-Ray/DVD release. I'm hoping they do because I want to see the references I missed (makes me wonder if they'll point out what I said about the scene with Fix-It Felix fixing the jail bar).
Oh, and Wreck-It Ralph had to ask that annoying, beating a dead horse "Why is Sonic in a car?" question in a trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Wreck-It Ralph, ask that question one more time and we're going to call you out on your game jumping shenanigan. It's getting pretty annoying and I don't want you kicked out because of that. At least you make for a much better product placement character than...that female race car driver, which Cartman ended up hitting in that one episode of South Park. (Only reason I'm putting up with the race car driver is the fact that I know Sega isn't in good financial condition).
