I saw a late night showing of Wreck-It Ralph.

it's definitely a movie for the video gamers. Plenty of references, cameos, and tributes to video gaming. I did enjoy the story of Wreck-It Ralph trying to be more than just some bad guy. I pretty much describe it as Who Framed Roger Rabbit with video game characters with a mix of Toy Story.

Some of the little references I saw. (Some I give right out, some I'll hint at it)
*Wreck-It Ralph digging through the lost & found stuff in Tapper. To name a couple of things, there was Zangief's underwear and the exclamation point from Metal Gear Solid that pops up when a soldier spots Snake (including the sound effect used).
*M. Bison at the Bad Guy Anonymous asking if Ralph is "Going turbo." While it's actually related to the movie's plot later on, it definitely makes people in on it thinking of the different revisions of Street Fighter II because it was the dictator from Street Fighter that asked the question.
*One I found out before I saw the movie was that the zombie in the Bad Guy Anonymous group is actually based around the zombies you see in Sega's House of the Dead light gun series.
*Kano does a little something familiar to the zombie at Bad Guy Anonymous...as far as a PG rating allows.
*Sonic the Hedgehog on a monitor at Game Central Station, giving a PSA to the game characters. After all, he had his batch of Sonic Says, especially considering a certain infamous one that's no good.
*I didn't see the whole thing but I did see some random graffiti saying something about Aerith, making me think it was in reference to a certain event in Final Fantasy VII.
*If you ever needed to cheat in Contra on NES, you'll see something familiar.
*The sound effect was changed something else when you actually see this in the actual movie. In a scene where Fix-It Felix hits a broken jail bar while stuck in a dungeon, the sound effect you hear in the commercial in that scene is actually from Gradius on the NES when you start the game.
*Won't ruin it for you but stick around during the credits and take note of what happens at the Disney logo screen after the credits. You have to know your Pac-Man well to get it (I mean, really know your Pac-Man).

Plenty of it that I did hear that the creators are planning to put a trivia track in the Blu-Ray/DVD release. I'm hoping they do because I want to see the references I missed (makes me wonder if they'll point out what I said about the scene with Fix-It Felix fixing the jail bar).

Oh, and Wreck-It Ralph had to ask that annoying, beating a dead horse "Why is Sonic in a car?" question in a trailer for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Wreck-It Ralph, ask that question one more time and we're going to call you out on your game jumping shenanigan. It's getting pretty annoying and I don't want you kicked out because of that. At least you make for a much better product placement character than...that female race car driver, which Cartman ended up hitting in that one episode of South Park. (Only reason I'm putting up with the race car driver is the fact that I know Sega isn't in good financial condition).
