Continuing my "delusion" with Akibaranger.

clessaileronSo I watched episode 4 of Akibaranger season 2 and now waiting for the subs for episode 5 to be ready. In my last entry, I mentioned I saw a shot of the Tyrannoranger and Dragonranger from Zyuranger with stars and stripes on their belts and necking, pretty much looking like some Power Rangers jokes are in order.
To play catch up here, I'll explain some things. In season 1 of Akibaranger, Akagi (Akibared) had the goal for Akibaranger to become an official sentai series. Things have happened that goes into spoiler territory in the second half of the series. In season 2, the second half of the first season never happened. The first episode of second season was merely recapping what happened without those event and rather into the big "final battle". At the end of the episode, Akagi, going by a hobby shop, finds out that Akibaranger is an official sentai show.
It ended up affecting the delusional world. Previously, due to Akibaranger's official status, Dairanger ended up being unofficial and became a delivery boy mascot. The Kibaranger (i.e. the ranger that Tommy's White Ranger powers were based around) is angry and later revealed that he was supposed to be a new ranger for Akibaranger before it was cancelled (in that universe, Akibaranger was apparently a horrible show to the point that Power Rangers Turbo would look good in comparison).
So now we get to the episode 5 thing. One thing I read about it was that in the delusional world, the stars and stripe Zyuranger suits was more about Super Sentai getting screwed up. Apparently, Super Sentai didn't happened until an American import came to Japan, referred to as "Powerful Rangers" (Subtly? What's that?). Pretty much, it's the reverse of reality. (There was also an episode of Power Rangers Dino Thunder where the rangers ended up watching Abaranger, saying it was a "Japanese show based around the world famous Power Rangers." Another reverse of reality.) I really want to see what they pull off for jokes here.
It's going to be about a week before the subs come out.
