I was originally going to post this entry two days ago but Photobucket was going under maintenance.
Well let's get to the point. I got my Nendoroid. If you don't know who it is by now, it's of...well, look at my userpic. You're looking at her.

So yes, I got a Nendoroid of Sakura Shinguji from Sakura Wars.
With the interchangable parts, I had a little fun with the poses. I had to learn what are supposed to be able to be taken apart. Like learning to put Sakura in her Koubu, I ended up learning that I take her upper body apart from her lower part of her body and attach her into a peg in the Koubu. I even heard some other Nendoroid would be able to ride Sakura's Koubu as long as the peg fits.

Now for some different shots:

A shot I know I was going to do. Sakura standing on top of the Dreamcast with the games. The Koubu is practically its own figure, so I had it in the shot too.

Sakura looking like she's ready to defend the old fort. Her Koubu is around if she feels she needs to use it. I admit, I probably should have been doing shots where she's on top of a Sega Saturn, since that's where the first two games originated. Segata Sanshiro would not be proud of me.

Same pose, but now with the Sakura Wars anime adaptation...most of them since one of them is based around the Paris squad. (3 is in there for completion sake, even if Sakura was only in one chapter).

Just so I have a shot of the figure with the PS2 remake.
Now for more random shots (And there's going to be Sakura Wars references):

Either Sakura has taken a liking to Cless Alvein...or she's thinking he looks too much like Kanna Kirishima. (I got my mocking of Kosuke Fujishima's character design recycling out of the way now.)

"You? In that Sonic kart racer? That wish is as pathetic as that twerp that looks like Lloyd Irving...or maybe that male captain of yours!"
Yes, this photo (and the so-called Dhaos taunt) was just an excuse to mock myself for having a female character that I want in there, though I know it ain't gonna happen. Back to playing as Vyse, then. (And another stab at Fujishima's character design recycling plus, yeah, I had to make a stab at Karol)

Okay, I admit, the only time I actually saw Sakura in her Koubu but with her head out like that was from the Sakura Wars TV series and never any other time (especially since I've seen the girls come in and out via the front opening up, which this figure does not do). Otherwise, she's completely inside there. It's just that detail I'm observing and nothing more.
Anyway, Sakura is having to take down Dhaos rather than Cless. Not sure how well that Koubu will protect her but she does have help.

Hey Dhaos! Sakura happens to be part of a squad mostly composed of girls, so why not have Mint, Arche, and Suzu assist her?! So, are you going to attack these girls or what?

So yes, apparently, despite her being from another universe, Kaede wants Sakura to see if Estelle might want to join the squad because of her special abilities. Estelle did do some sort of stage acting in some sidequest, right? Good. We'll work from there! She's going to need to do some stage performances as well as pilot a steam-powered mech. Besides, it's not like Sakura didn't have some trouble with stage performances when she started. Well, it would be interesting to see Estelle do a dance number. (Yes, I happen to know Sakura Wars had many live stage performances. In fact, it's the one thing I heard that outlived the games. I admit, I've been tempted to post the one of the New York squad on Facebook).
While I'm at it, if there was an Estelle Nendoroid figure (and not the petit kind), I would so see if that princess would fit in Sakura's Koubu.
Now that the fun house shenanigan is done, the figure will sit here on this shelf:

Yeah, I never really mentioned that smaller Gemini Sunrise figure. Well, maybe I should get something of Erica there. (No, I'm not talking about that Erika theme deck from the Pokémon Trading Card Game's younger days. I'm talking about Ms. Fontaine.)
What can I say? For the first Nendoroid I bought, I really love it. Guess it helps that her gimmick involves her coming with her Koubu/mech. That, and she is one of the girls I ended up adoring from the series.
